Job Description

 

Job Summary:

 

The Front Office Associate is responsible for greetings, checking guests in and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. The main focus is to engage every guest in conversation and recognition, as well as resolve any guest issues immediately.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure brand standards, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Greet and welcome all guests approaching the front desk
  • Being able to perform all front office duties like check-in and check-out of guests, answering the phone according to the hotel etiquette, assist guests with their inquiries, taking reservations and performing administrational tasks
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel features/services, hours of operations, all hotel restaurant food concepts, menu price range, dress code and ambiance, all hotel room types, numbers/names, layout appointments, amenities and locations, all hotel room rates, special packages and promotions, daily house count and expected arrivals/departures scheduled daily group activities, room availability status for any given day
  • Be familiar with all the front office software required for the position
  • Ensure that all hotel standards are met when assisting the guests and handling information
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner
  • Review front office logs, trace file and credit limit daily
  • Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • Be familiar with all in-house groups
  • Be aware of closed out and restricted dates
  • Coordinate with front office supervisor in performing daily task or during the shift
  • Be familiar with hospitality terminology
  • Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assistance as needed.
  • Always use proper etiquette when communicating with guests and associates
  • Be able to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain and market promotions and guest programs
  • Perform any other works as and when assigned by the supervisor and/or management

Desired Skill & Expertise

 

  • At least 1+ years experience working at the reception in a 4/5* property with 250+ inventory.
  • 1 year experience Front Office computer literacy 
  • Excellent communications skills with proficiency in speaking and writing English.
  • Team player with excellent planning, organizing skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work flexible working hours with rotating shifts.
  • Pleasant personality and good grooming.
