Job Description

As the Security Manager of our luxury hotel, you will be responsible for overseeing all security operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests, employees, and assets. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to risk management, incident prevention, team leadership, and compliance with local laws and brand standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong crisis management skills and hospitality-specific security expertise.

 

  • Develop, implement, and manage the hotel’s overall security strategy, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure 24/7 security coverage and supervision of security staff and CCTV operations.
  • Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and fire safety inspections.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services, and hotel management during incidents or investigations.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and training for staff (e.g., fire drills, evacuation procedures).
  • Manage access control systems, key card security, and guest room safety protocols.
  • Oversee the investigation and documentation of security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activity.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Provide guest assistance in emergency situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Report regularly to the General Manager and maintain records of incidents, patrol logs, and training activities.
  • Stay updated on best practices and evolving hotel security technologies.

Desired Skill & Expertise

 

  • Minimum of 5 years in a security leadership role, ideally within luxury hotels or high-end hospitality environments.

  • Thorough understanding of hotel security operations, emergency response protocols, and risk management practices.

  • Certified in SIRA, fire safety, and emergency response procedures; additional certifications such as First Aid, CPR, or Crisis Management are highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of UAE security regulations, fire and life safety codes, and emergency preparedness standards.

  • Proven experience in leading, training, and motivating multicultural teams.

  • Well-versed in operating and managing CCTV systems, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies and software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead effectively in high-pressure situations.

  • Discreet and composed, with the ability to manage sensitive information and respond calmly in emergencies.

  • Strong focus on team development, performance monitoring, and maintaining a proactive security culture.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required by operational needs.
