Job Description

  • Drive the digital learning strategy of The First Group in alignment with business requirements
  • Coordinate with the Head of Learning & Development to ensure timely provision of training infrastructure, development of content and training delivery
  • Work with the Head of Learning & Development to developing and maintaining of the digital learning road map that articulates the future direction and strategic focus of the Learning and Development function
  • Collaborate closely with the various departments across the organisation research, develop and implement efforts to enhance the Digital Learning Experience
  • Provide expert advice and counsel, as required, to the business on digital learning opportunities and emerging trends
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of training programs, materials, and related services, to meet learners needs using sound Instructional Design and Adult Learning Principles
  • Facilitate creative and innovative learning programs to support the development of our people in line with our strategic vision, and the achievement of business goals and KPIs
  • Partner with business units, stakeholders and training managers to identify training needs and individual/group performance gaps that need training and performance intervention
  • Introduce and make use of engaging and interactive tools and e-learning platforms to design, deploy modules & prepare various training reportsg., Articulate Suite, Vyond, MS office, Google Suite
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the L&D function, ensuring proper documentation and compliance of mandatory trainings and assessments
  • Track participants attendance and compiles reports for Head of L&D
  • Support the hiring management team in the execution of the new hire onboarding program within the organization to promote best practices
  • Conduct regular follow-up meetings for new joiners and provide necessary guidance and assistance to ensure the best-in-class onboarding experience for new joiners
  • Collaborate with HR to provide feedback during the probation period for new joiners and provide end of probation feedback to HR, Line Manager and the Head of L&D
  • Collect employee feedback at the end of every learning & development intervention, and provide the collated report to the Head of Learning & Development
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance, friendly and passionate team environment to ensure the development and retention of critical talent within The First Group
  • Act as a change agent and ambassador to support the implementation of new programs and projects for business functions impacting the organisation


Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Minimum Bachelor's level qualification in a related field, preferably within Education, Organisational Psychology or equivalent
  • Masters level qualification would be an asset
  • Experience in e-learning and learning platforms management Knowledge/skills
  • Experience implementing learning platforms and applications
  • Experience building/expanding Digital Learning capability
  • Able to use initiative and take responsibility with a positive can-do attitude to deliver effective results
  • Self-motivated with an intellectual curiosity, a strong growth mindset and the desire to constantly improve
  • Able to form effective relationships with executives and senior leaders
  • An excellent team player
